#Cebu City tour with kojiro and the food trippers#

JUNE 15, 2013

To take pride of Cebu, I was honored to be a tour guide for a day. That was my first time actually to really act as a tour guide. lol. It was never an easy one. You must know a lot from that place.

First destination was Taoist temple in Beverly hills, Lahug. You can either go there by trike (habal2x) or the easiest way by taxi. :D Of course we went there by taxi.

No entrance fee. Once inside the place you are not allowed to take pictures of their saints. Other than that, the rest are okay!

Stairway to the entrance of the temple

This is the biggest dragon in the temple.

This way to the main exit.

This is where you throw coins and wish.

This is the scenery of Cebu when viewed from the temple.

It was hard to look for a taxi going out from the temple. We had to walk all the way down until we can get a taxi.

Finally, we got one and proceeded to our next destination - Basilica minore del Sto. Niño. From downtown, just go straight. You can ride 17B from It park to the church. I don't know much about the place but It is the oldest Roman Catholic church established in the country.

A few walks from Basilica minore del Sto. Niño is the Plaza indepencia and the famous Fort San Pedro. It costs us 60.00 peso (for 2 pax) for the entrance fee.

Turn right. At the entrance, a blind masseur will serenade you with a traditional song. You will pass by some paintings regarding the history of Cebu.

It was 11:30 am when we finished roaming around Fort San Pedro. We opted to have lunch at SM City Cebu.

Now this was out of plan, we went to the beach and all I thought was Portofino White Sand Beach just beside Mactan Newtown. Since It was a weekend, we paid 120.00 peso each. I never thought it was that crowded. We just have to sat on shore, everything was occupied. We spend an hour talking and watching people swimming. At 2:30 pm, we decided to go back to IT park to get some friends.

Kojiro and I

We went to Handuraw pizza just beside UP Lahug. I am NOT a thin crust pizza lover. I'd rather enjoy the pan pizza at pizza hut that only costs less than a hundred. But for me, pizza in Handuraw is the same as any other pizza parlor.

So after chilling, we went to our last stop - Phoebe's Cupcakery in Paseo Saturnino in front of Tymad Bistro to enjoy a cup of hot coffee. We talked, laughed, etc. enjoying one another's company.

It was a tiring day but a treasuring one! Thanks for the good company! :D I enjoyed hanging out with you guys!
