#soul bistro~ the second time around#

Too early for another review? Nahhh I was just hungry and fortunately Soul Bistro was just a walking distance from where I'm nestled so I didn't waste time and headed to the resto for a dinner!

Satisfied with my first try, I opted for another dish. I chose their Chicken Cordon Bleu and Gambas.

The taste of Chicken Cordon Bleu is no longer new to me. Though I was saddened maybe I expected a lot, it was just the same taste as with others. Nothing's new. The chicken was well cooked, the ham tasted usual the cheese was doughy I guess though the overall taste wasn't bad. It's just that, it doesn't have this unique taste.

I was a little bit surprised when I tried their Gambas, it was not spicy. most of the Gambas I tried were all spicy and theirs was sweet. I like it. hahahaha

Before I get to order what's for dinner, I hurriedly asked the waiter if any of their desserts were available since they were out of stock the last time. And fortunately it was available :p I was asked between the cupcake and the cheesecake. Guess what?? Ta~da..... hahahahah

#Soul Bistro#

In the midst of wonder, my stomach craves for joy. Realized that there was one thing I'd like to go to years ago but I just couldn't find the time. Alas! I can finally set my directions to Soul Bistro. They are located on the right side in Duterte Street, Banawa. Open everyday from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm except on Sundays, they open late at 4:00 pm.

One thing I like about this restaurant is that though it is small, it looks attractive and appealing to customers. It looks homey with a friendly and attentive waiter. Wait until I found out that the food they serve is already good for two. Cool!

The waiter told me that most food listed on their menu don't serve rice and is bought separately at P15. Prices vary from P120 to P250 depending on the order.

I tried their Herb and Anchovy Porchop at P179. Find it expensive? No problem anyway since it's already good for two! :) Sweet! :*

I find their glasses colourful, don't you think?

Overall, I just love my experience at Soul Bistro. Definitely coming for more reviews! Ciao! <3

#YO-GO BOY#

Another yogurt beguiled me to opt for another visit. I can't remember the last time I went to YO-GO Boy so I thought I should give them a HI! :) It's located in BTC (Banilad Town Center)

Upon looking at their menu, I couldn't resist not to compare it with the previous yogurt I've tasted. I thought Yummy Yo served it well than YO-GO Boy! Let me state my reasons, first, as I said I like sour yogurt. You can taste a bit sourness in yogurt from Yummy Yo but you can hardly taste it in Yo-go Boy. Second, Yo-go Boy has only one size so I don't have any alternatives . Lastly, not all the toppings were present different from what it seen in the menu. But this is only subject to my opinion and don't have any bad intention.

The only thing I liked in here is the environment and the ambiance. The mango was superb just the way I like it. ^_^

#Yummy yo#

I was reading an article about health matters when I decided to head for some yogurt. It's a great alternative for ice cream considering the benefits found in  it. This will  be my second time visiting their humble yogurt stall. By the way, they're located at Archbishop Reyes Ave, near Grand Convention.

You can have it plain or best with toppings. If you are not sure you can ask the attendance for an advice.

Additional Php40

Try out their frozen smoothies and parfairts

I tried their original large yogurt php130 with chocolate monster php40 that's a total of php170. So far, I must admit that I still like it more when its sour. Original yogurt tastes sour. I only taste a little sourness in it but thumbs up!

#Hot spots for Summer in Cebu#

I can't deny that it's already Summer as March is on its way to let the beach bum get started. Did I just say beach? Heard it right! That's how I wanna spend my summer....at the beach! Well, I don't want to sound cheesy or anything but you know what they say "Life is a beach" ;)

Planning on a day tour or a stay over will probably be just fine depends on how far your destination is. Usually, famous beaches are located an hour or more from the city.

My Top 10 recommended places for beach bum:

Lapu-lapu City (an hour or two from the Cebu city)

Moalboal (not less than 3 hours from the City to the South)

Badian (more or less 3 hours from the City to the South)

Alcoy (more or less 3 hours from the City to the South)

Sumilon Island (15-20 minutes from Bancogon Oslob)

Bantayan Island (6 hours travel  to the North of Cebu)

Malapascua in Daanbantayan (5-6 hours from the City)

Camotes Island (2 hours from Danao Port)

Gibitngil Funtastic Island in Medellin (more or less 4 hours)

Panglao Island in Bohol (2 hours from Cebu port )

Having a great time looking at the pictures and already want to plunge? You're not the only one! Hopefully, I would visit these places too before I die (just kidding ^_^). Let's give summer a warm hug! (rock'n'roll)

#Red Mango#

Is there such thing as red mango? Well of course yes but not known to many.  I'm a fan of yogurt, not only it tastes good but it's also a healthy habit. They offer varieties of cold treats such drinks, ice cream, fruit bowl and some waffles.

So I ordered my all time fave fruit bowl that only costs 75php and (115php with yogurt). Got to choose with yogurt so I could avail the 50% on second order. FYI: valid on weekdays. And for my second order, first time to try their red grape yogurt smoothies at 99php

Fruit Bowl with yogurt: Mango, Pineapple, Melon, Kiwi, Watermelon, Grapes.

Perfect way to replenish from the heat of summer.

You can choose to stay outside or inside while enjoying your dessert and surf on the net at the same time.
