#Cafe Maru#

Cafe Maru - it is! At last after my 3rd try I can get to experience how it is to be in this cute cafe. I always have this thought in my mind ~ What makes Cafe Maru different from any other coffee shops?

Maybe you guys can answer this. Well for me, it doesn't make any difference but the company matters.

Cafe Maru is in front of Sto. Niño Village few meters from Bright Academy. They are always full of customers but when I went there it was 10 in the evening so that's why I got the chance to dine. lol. 

About:

Cafe Maru is a korean style coffee shop. You will experience the Korean way of squatting on the floor while drinking your cofffee. We are displaying a lot of books on the shop and some picture puzzles and other playing materials for you not to be bored. We will also prepare some famous coffee menu in Korea. They offer free use of wifi. Take note on their menu: One person at least one order. ^___^

I tried their combo which consists of a big ice cream waffle plus any two hot / cold drinks except for blended  good for 395.00 php. I ordered Hot Caramel Macchiato and Cold White Choco Mocha for the drinks.

#Can afford restaurants#

Here's a list of my top 5 can afford restaurants in Cebu City especially for those first timers. I recommend these places to dine because it's tasty and budget friendly. :D

Whenever I eat at red ribbon I always order the pan grilled pork. I don't know I just love eating it. LOL. My favorite place is in Ayala Mall.

Everybody knows it even foreigners do. I always order burger steak or chicken joy at this restaurant. Cheeseburger is also recommended. My recommended place is in Mango.

McDonald's! A great competitor of Jollibee. I like their cheeseburger. mouthwatering! Best eaten in Jones Avenue.

KFC is well known for its chicken and potato wedges... so yummy! Ayala would be the best restaurant to dine in.

I love their bacon roll, steam pork rice, and bavarian for dessert. You can find it in SM, Parkmall or E-mall.

Choobi-Choobi is located in PARKMALL beside Jollibee. They're open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. They are also open for bookings, functions, and events. For inquiries, contact (032) 422  8686

Choobi-Choobi just had their soft opening last month on June 15 and every time I pass by Parkmall I can always see a lot of people dine. So, I also thought of going there for a try.

They have lots of staff serving lots of customers but good thing we didn't wait long to look for a seat. Their menu has a lot to offer from seafood, grilled, soup to desserts.

Since they are still working on their newly opened restaurant I guess the only thing I've observed is that their staffs really responded too slow. There was one customer beside our table complained about his order. It took him more than 30 minutes to receive his order but not at the same time instead he got his order one by one. Same thing happened to our order but I do understand.

So as soon as we seated we immediately placed our orders and told they will be served 15-20 minutes after.

I ordered baked scallop for appetizer

Belly Dancer

Belly dancer and Sizzling squid for the main course. Their sizzling squid has rice in it. Their belly dancer has the most pleasant taste I have ever tried. (recommended)

Very owned choobi house blend iced tea glass. Taste different but very refreshing especially when serve cold.

and Mango crepe for dessert. Their mango crepe is served with vanilla ice cream. (thumbs up)

Restrooms and Washing area are located in the middle and are just opposite with each other. Restrooms are on the right and washing area is on the left.

You've never in Choobi if you haven't tried their shrimp in the bag. They're famous for that but unfortunately I wasn't able to try it since I know I wouldn't be able to finish it and even if I bring it home it wouldn't have the same taste if it's not serve hot.

To those who want to watch movies I'd say Hello Hans is a good place to go! It's owned by a Korean national. They're open until 1 a.m. The male receptionist said that all DVDs came from Korea that's why the CD cases are written in Korean language but you don't have to worry about anything because the language is mainly in English. Their rooms are fully air conditioned and with tissue in it. They provide sofa bed, 2 square pillows, and a blanket in every room (cool!)

#Famous Belgian Waffle @ SM City Cebu#

From the name itself, this is the most delicious waffle I have ever tasted. Sounds exaggerated yeah? but I'm not kidding. Try it for yourself. I have tried the strawberry and creamcheese (55.00 php) since they ran out of chocolate at the time.

The strawberry and cream cheese really went well together. The taste really lingers in my mouth. So yummy, couldn't wait to try them all.

They have a lot of flavors to offer and price ranges from 30 as the cheapest and 55 as the most expensive.

Despicable 2

I am not writing to introduce the movie. The truth is that I've never really watched the first part of the movie. But I am here to talk about my experience watching part 2. 

I love watching animation ever since I was young. So I already expected that I will love this movie. Well my fave part from this movie was the minions talking some languages I don't really understand. hahaha.. so I kept on laughing on those scenes where minions deliver their speeches. It tickles me. wahahahaha

So as what I've remembered Gru was asked to work as a spy to capture the villain. He refused the offer at first but later on accepted it. That's where he met Lucy (his future wife). He worked in the mall as a cupcake baker. Then he met a man looks suspiciously like former villain El Macho who runs the little Italian restaurant at the mall who turns out to be the main villain in the movie.

That's where the action comes in. You had better watch the movie because not only it's entertaining but the minions are also cute. It's still showing in all cinemas in Cebu.
